New York Beach Channel High School, 100-00 Beach Channel Drive
Rockaway Park, NY 11694-2818
All meetings will begin with a 5-6pm “open house” where information on the projects will be displayed. The public comment period of the hearings will be held from 6:30 to 8pm (or later, if the Coast Guard determines that more time is needed to allow everyone to be heard). We advise you to get there early to get parking and a seat! Our website has an RSVP form and other information about the hearings, project, and LNG in general if people want to use that as a resource, www.cleanoceanaction.org.
Please contact your elected officials to encourage them to publically oppose this project and testify at the hearings as well. To find your elected officials and their contact information, go here: http://www.usa.gov/Contact/Elected.shtml

Subject: Coast Guard Hearing Re: LNG Gas Terminal
FYI I just wanted to make sure you all saw the email Anthony sent out a few minutes ago.
Concerned about preserving our coastal habitat? Me too. That's why I had the U.S. Coast Guard come to our community to hear your thoughts about a proposed liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal off of the Rockaway peninsula.
The hearing is today, Tuesday, February 8th. The doors open at 5:00pm and the hearing starts at 6:30pm in the auditorium at Beach Channel High School, 100-00 Beach Channel Drive, Rockaway Park, NY.
But if you can't make it there, I'm bringing the hearing to you (well, at least to your computer).
I will be streaming the hearing LIVE on my website: www.weiner.house.gov starting at 6:30pm.
You can always share your thoughts with me by calling my community office at 520-9001.
I look forward to hearing from you.
